Same stupidity, different moron. (Credit: history.com) The president also seemed to have no awareness that the exact words he used in his tweet haunted a Republican predecessor, George W. Bush, who declared victory way too soon in the same region. No one in Trump’s government seems to know what he’s up to now or what his Middle East strategy is going forward. That doesn’t seem to bother Trump, who made these comments to reporters on Monday: “As commander in chief, I’m the only one who needs to know what’s going on, because this is top secret stuff.
