The president, 74, said his sibling was ‘having a tough time’ shortly before he arrived wearing a mask at New York-Presbyterian hospital in Manhattan on Friday. The White House has not said why Robert Trump, 72, was admitted to hospital, but officials have confirmed he is very sick. Speaking as he left the area, Donald Trump said: ‘I have a wonderful brother. We’ve had a great relationship for a long time, from day one. ‘He’s in the hospital right now, and hopefully he’ll be all right. But he’s having a hard time.’ The billionaire’s visit came ahead of his trip to his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Robert, who is one of the president’s four siblings, recently filed a lawsuit to try and stop the publication of their niece Mary Trump’s tell-all memoir.
