Donald Trump has happily retweeted praise comparing his presidency to the second coming of God (Picture: AP) Donald Trump has compared his presidency to ‘the second coming of God’ in a series of bizarre tweets about Israel. The President of the United States took to Twitter Wednesday morning to highlight praise heaped on him by conservative talk show host Wayne Allyn Root. Trump wrote: ‘Thank you to Wayne Allyn Root for the very nice words. “President Trump is the greatest President for Jews and for Israel in the history of the world, not just America, he is the best President for Israel in the history of the world…and the Jewish people in Israel love him like he’s the King of Israel. “They love him like he is the second coming of God…But American Jews don’t know him or like him. “They don’t even know what they’re doing or saying anymore. “It makes no sense! But that’s OK, if he keeps doing what he’s doing, he’s good for all Jews, Blacks, Gays, everyone. And importantly, he’s good for everyone in America who wants a job.” Wow!’ The president’s self-congratulation came before yet another attack on Palestinian-American Congresswoman xxx Tlaib, who was recently banned from visiting Israel after Trump encouraged the country’s leaders to do so. Trump also hit out at left-wing Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Somali-American Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. He said: ‘Rep Tlaib wants to cut off aid to Israel. ‘This is the new face the of Democrat Party? Read the AOC PLUS 3 statements on their hatred of Jews and Israel. ‘Check out Rep. Omar (the great people of Minnesota won’t stand for this).’ Trump targeted Tlaib and Omar, who are both Muslim, a day after he claimed that anyone Jewish who chose to vote Democrat ‘shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.’ His comment sparked outrage, with Halie Soifer from the Jewish Democratic Council of America accusing Trump of ‘continuing to weaponize and politicize anti-Semitism.’ Trump’s tweets may be designed to distract attention from his rebuffed attempts to buy Greenland from Denmark. He has been firmly rebuffed by the country’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, prompting him to cancel a planned state visit to the Scandinavian country next month.
