Trump met with up President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House, in Seoul, where the South Korean leader has his offices and home. While there, Trump also had the pleasure of mega group EXO who gave Trump and his daughter, Ivanka, signed albums before the banquet dinner. They also chatted with Trump’s daughter and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. This is a crossover we aren’t sure we ever wanted to see and we would have loved to be a fly on the wall as all nine members exchanged words with the leader of the free world. According to reports, EXO was invited to the event for Ivanka Trump, daughter and advisor to President Donald Trump. She previously shared her interest in K-pop during a trip to South Korea back in February last year. Trump and EXO (Picture: EPA) Donald J. Trump during the meeting with South Korean President Moon Jae-in (Picture: EPA) It’s not the first time she has meet the K-pop legends though. After crossing paths with EXO at the closing ceremony of the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics, she was reported to have commented, ‘My kids are huge fans. I can’t believe I’m meeting you.’ This comes as one of the group’s singers D.O. will be enlisting in the military on 1 July, despite apparently legally being able to delay his enlistment until 2021. The singer and actor shared a letter with EXO-L, their fanbase, after news of his enlistment was revealed. I will carefully serve and return to greet you all with a healthy image.’ EXO, made up of Xiumin, D.O., Baekhyun, Chen, Kai, Sehun, Chanyeol, Suho and Lay, may not be back together as a full group until 2025 given the different times members have to enlist.
