Donald Trump’s presidential state car debuted on September 24, 2018. The new model is a unique Cadillac, fitted with dozens of defence mechanisms to keep The President safe. The first presidential car was launched in the 1910s, however it wasn’t until more than a decade later that the first Cadillac was introduced to then-President Herbert Hoover. Prior to the latest model, former President Barack Obama rode around in his car – launched on January 20, 2009. It carried him two miles down Pennsylvania Avenue to his inaugural parade – and also left him trapped on a ramp outside the US Embassy in Ireland. US security services later denied it was The Beast that got stuck, claiming instead that ‘a spare limo, carrying staff and support personnel’ was involved in the incident. {“@context”:“https:\/\/schema.org”,“@type”:“VideoObject”,“name”:“Metro.co.uk”,“duration”:“T1M6S”,“thumbnailUrl”:“https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2019\/06\/03\/08\/14289068-0-image-a-1_1559545829838.jpg”,“uploadDate”:“2019-06-03T08:10:22+0100”,“description”:“Barack Obama’s limo ‘The Beast’ getting stuck on ramp in Dublin during 2011 visit.”,“contentUrl”:“https:\/\/videos.metro.co.uk\/video\/met\/2019\/06\/03\/8390577099461081758\/640x360_MP4_8390577099461081758.mp4”,“height”:360,“width”:640}
