The bad news is that the president’s former campaign manager looks destined to spend a very long time in prison after repeatedly lying to special prosecutor Robert Mueller even after striking a plea deal. The good news is that Mr. Manafort and President Donald Trump signed a seven-figure book deal with HarperCollins to co-author a new how-to book titled “The Art Of The Lie.” According to their agent, Hannah Tarradiddle, the book will feature hundreds of techniques that the two have developed over their long careers for “misinforming clients and customers, misleading the public, lying right to people’s faces, mastering a range of untruths from white lies to horrendous falsehoods, perjuring oneself, lying through one’s teeth, and telling tall tales and whoppers while poker-faced on live television.” “The Art of the Lie” will also feature interviews with hundreds of people whose lives were ruined after the two men fabricated lies about them. “These anecdotes really demonstrate the power of the deceptive techniques this pair of fabulists have developed over time,” said Tarradiddle, “as well as just how useful ‘The Art Of The Lie’ can be for readers who want to completely destroy people in their business and personal lives.” Many will remember that Donald Trump penned a book some years ago with a similar title, “The Art Of The Deal,” which was also filled with lies.
