This is the suspect device the so-called MAGA bomber sent to Robert De Niro’s New York restaurant disguised as a package from a top Democrat politician. The package – covered with stars and stripes stamps, and with its sendee marked as ex-Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Shultz – sparked the evacuation of the movie star’s TriBeCa Grill and adjoining production offices in Lower Manhattan on Thursday morning. It bears the same stamps and labelling as one suspicious package intercepted Wednesday, when the bomber sent pipe bombs to the Clintons, Barack Obama, Joe Biden and CNN’s New York offices. This is the package sent to Robert DeNiro’s TriBeCa Grill, which triggered a huge evacuation after it was discovered in the early hours of Thursday (Picture: ShimronPro/Twitter) The DeNiro package, purporting to be from ex-chair of the DNC Debbie Wasserman Shultz, is almost identical to this one intercepted Wednesday (Picture: FBI) The device at De Niro’s restaurant has been taken away for safe disposal, and appears to be connected to pipe bombs sent to Democrats yesterday, CNN reports. Their sender has been christened the MAGA bomber because he or she appears to be targeting individuals and organizations who have clashed with or been criticized by President Trump, whose campaign slogan is ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) President Trump blamed the media for the escalating terror campaign Thursday, tweeting: ‘A very big part of the Anger we see today in our society is caused by the purposely false and inaccurate reporting of the Mainstream Media that I refer to as Fake News. ‘It has gotten so bad and hateful that it is beyond description. The Taxi Driver star opened his speech by calling Trump ‘blantantly stupid’, before going on to label the billionaire president a ‘punk’, ‘dog’, ‘bullsh*t artist’, ‘fool’, ‘mutt’, ‘bozo’, ‘pig’, ‘con’, ‘idiot’ and ‘national disaster’. His comment about hitting Trump was inspired by a well-known incident when the president incited violence at a rally, and said he’d like to punch a drunk attendee in the face.
