The American politician, 74, targeted the teenager, 17, in December 2019, by tweeting: ‘So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!’ Greta has bitten back almost a year later by using the former businessman’s exact words against him. Quote tweeting a Trump post that demanded the election count be stopped, she wrote: ‘So ridiculous. Donald must work on his Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Donald, Chill!’ Her mockery has been well-received on Twitter, receiving more than one million likes and 350,000 retweets so far. The pair have a longstanding feud, with Trump’s original Twitter post coming two months after they crossed paths at the United Nations in New York last year. A clip appearing to show Thunberg glare at Trump was widely-shared online, with the president then tweeting a sarcastic ‘tribute’. US television networks ABC, CBS and NBC all cut away from the address as Trump made a number of false statements. Joe Biden took the lead in key battleground state Georgia on Friday afternoon, with the US election result still resting on a knife-edge three days after the public voted. The Associated Press claims Biden has got a total of 264 electoral college votes and puts Trump on 214, with 270 needed to win the race.
