The OC star Samaire has claimed Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organisation (Picture: Getty) The OC actress Samaire Armstrong has called Black Lives Matter a ‘domestic terrorist organisation’, despite the organisation not being linked to a single terror attack. The Black Lives Matter Network was formed in 2013 by Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi to provide activists with a shared set of principles, and the movement gained prominence this year following the death of George Floyd. Armstrong had previously supported the movement, but has now stated that she will be voting for Donald Trump in the upcoming US presidential election and claimed that the Black Lives Matter protests are causing ‘chaos and violence’. The 39-year-old, best known for playing Anna Stern on The OC, shared the Wikipedia definition of fascism, which was edited from ‘a form of far-right, authoritarian ultranationalism’ to read: ‘Fascism is a form of far-left authoritarian ultranationalism.’ The actress wrote on Instagram: ‘Fixed it. ‘Black lives, they matter!! However, BLM is a billion dollar domestic terrorist organization. https://ift.tt/2FFbwzl ‘It’s ok to speak out against the fascist, far left mob. Call a spade, a spade. In response to one person who asked why she had shared a post supporting Black Lives Matter previously, Armstrong wrote: ‘I found out that BLM was a domestic terrorist organization. ‘When our streets have been on fire in the US for the last 3.5 months it became pretty clear. That’s actually something that is completely normal to come around on when you figure it out. Like, I totally support this movement, and oh! this is a domestic terrorist organization??!! -FLIP!!! While some of Armstrong’s fans praised her for her posts, there were many comments criticising her anti-BLM stance. Armstrong played Anna – a love interest for Seth Cohen, played by Adam Brody – in 15 episodes of teen classic The OC between 2003 and 2006, and went on to appear in shows including Entourage and Sons Of Anarchy. The mother-of-one also had the leading role in the 2006 body swap comedy It’s A Boy Girl Thing.
