Harry Dunn’s mum said the family’s fight for justice was ‘excruciating’ (Picture: Sky News) Harry Dunn’s mother has released an emotional appeal for Boris Johnson to make her son ‘top priority’ during meetings with key US officials next week. Harry died nearly a year ago when his motorcycle collided with a car allegedly driven on the wrong side of the road by Anne Sacoolas, 43, the wife of a US spy and herself a rumoured CIA operative. Mr Johnson and Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab will host Donald Trump’s Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, for talks on Monday. In a video statement Harry’s mum Charlotte Charles asked them: ‘When you get together next week with all of your families fully intact whilst mine is in complete tatters and my family has been ripped apart, can you please, please discuss Harry?’ ‘We’ve been assured he’s high on your list of priorities to discuss amongst all of the other important global issues that you have surrounding you but please, please make him top priority.’ She said fighting for justice while grieving for her son was ‘beyond excruciating’ and that it would mean ‘absolutely everything’ if Ms Sacoolas, British police’s only suspect, was returned to the UK. Ms Sacoolas is believed to have been driving outside a US military base in Northamptonshire on August 27 last year when the crash occurred, but she claimed diplomatic immunity and was able to return to the States. Mr Pompeo rejected a Home Office request to extradite her in January, with one of his officials calling the decision ‘final’. {“@context”:“https:\/\/schema.org”,“@type”:“VideoObject”,“name”:“Metro.co.uk”,“duration”:“T1M”,“thumbnailUrl”:“https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2020\/07\/19\/12\/30939830-0-image-a-19_1595159989338.jpg”,“uploadDate”:“2020-07-19T12:58:02+0100”,“description”:“The couple spoke to Sophie Ridge on Sky News”,“contentUrl”:“https:\/\/videos.metro.co.uk\/video\/met\/2020\/07\/19\/979056749104874745\/480x270_MP4_979056749104874745.mp4”,“height”:270,“width”:480}
