Spike Lee thinks Trump is the worst US president in history (Picture: Getty/Platon) Spike Lee has declared that Donald Trump will ‘go down in history’ as the worst president of the United States. The BlacKkKlansman director added that the world will be ‘in peril’ if Trump is re-elected in November. Despite Trump’s controversial handling of the coronavirus pandemic and protests against racial injustice, Spike isn’t certain he’ll be voted out. The filmmaker told GQ Hype: ‘Look, I’m not certain about anything. How do we know he’s not going to try to rig the thing again? ‘If this guy wins, the world is in peril. Not just the United States Of America. The world.’ Spike also touched on one of the lead characters in his latest film, Da 5 Bloods, being a Trump supporter. He said if Trump is re-elected the world will be in ‘peril’ (Picture: Getty) Delroy Lindo sports a Maga cap and calls Trump ‘that Klansman in the Oval office’. Spike said of the character: ‘I mean, all these bloods, these middle-aged black men, they don’t all think alike. ‘So we thought about what could be the most extreme thing we could do – and that was an Agent Orange supporter.’ The director added that he knows a few black people who supported Trump. He previously called Trump a wannabe ‘dictator’ (Picture: EPA) ‘I mean, I don’t know if they voted, but, yeah, there are black people, a very small percentage,’ he said, before adding: ‘but there are black people who are drinking the Agent Orange Kool-Aid’. Spike has long been a vocal opponent of Trump, calling the politician a wannabe ‘dictator’ last week in response to the protests sparked by George Floyd’s death. Floyd, a 46-year-old black father, died after a white cop knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes after arresting him. A priest and peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters were tear gassed so he could walk to a damaged church near the White House and hold up a bible. In response, Spike told the BBC: ‘He’s a gangster, he’s trying to be a dictator. ‘I was watching this last night with my family and we were all screaming in disbelief that this thing was staged.
