The former zoo keeper is currently serving 22 years behind bars for a murder-for-hire plot against his nemesis Carole Baskin, as well as animal abuse. But his lawyers have insisted Joe is ‘absolutely not guilty’, in a video campaigning for his release. ‘President Trump, we are asking you today to please free Joe Exotic,’ investigator Eric Love said in the clip, which was obtained by TMZ. ‘He’s absolutely not guilty. And we’re going to be able to prove that. We’re asking for a pardon.’ And because no campaign would be complete without a double decker bus, they got a giant bus with the words: ‘President Trump please pardon Joe Exotic, TEAM TIGER’.
