A number of states across the US have seen citizens protesting against the instructions given by the White House to help stall the spread of Covid-19. These include the likes of Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Ohio, Utah and Virginia. And now, the Good Morning Britain regular has issued a grave warning to the people breaking the lockdown measures. ‘[Brits] are adhering to the guidance of lockdown, but [America] are saying, “no, I’m a free person.” I think they’re heading for catastrophe, I really do,’ the GP said. Piers Morgan agreed, adding: ‘Many of the governors, they’re all saying, “no, we’re all about freedom, liberty and constitution,” to me it’s a strange way of looking at it. Since then, Donald Trump seemingly supported the move, as he called on three states, Minnesota, Michigan and Virginia – all of which have Democrat governors – to ‘liberate’ themselves from the lockdown measures in place there. Please stop this nonsense,’ he demanded. ‘I don’t want to hear that you’re a ratings hit, the reason you’re a ratings hit with your coronavirus briefings, is because people are terrified because of the death count and infection rates are going through the roof in your country.’ He then added: ‘Likening it to the viewership of the season finale of The Bachelor? Nobody cares, Mr President, if you’re rating well. ‘In fact I don’t want you rating well on this crisis, because it means people are dying. People are tuning in because horror is unfurling, so a little bit of modesty, a little bit of focus on saving lives and getting peoples’ jobs back eventually, those should be the focus of the President Of the United States.
