And having spared Prince Harry nothing in his Bafta acceptance speech, he turned his attention to Trump’s recent impeachment trial as he thanked the Academy. Just what did he say in his speech? During his emotional acceptance speech for best supporting actor, Brad said: ‘They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week. ‘I’m thinking maybe Quentin [Tarantino] does a movie about it and in the end, the adults do the right thing.’ Democrats had wanted Former National Security Advisor John Bolton to testify at the trial after a copy of his upcoming tell-all book was leaked. He was reportedly in the room with Trump during his conversations with Ukraine, so could have been be a key witness for the trial. However, the Senate voted against calling witnesses. Brad’s speech was met with mixed reviews, and while some praised it, Piers Morgan was less than pleased.
