The Women’s March aims to support the political power and rights of women (Picture: MEGA) Caitlyn Jenner, Mira Sorvino and Seal were just some of the celebrities who made an appearance at the fourth annual Women’s March in Los Angeles on Saturday. This was Caitlyn’s first time attending the march, after she completed gender reassignment surgery in January 2017, using her platform to inspire women to ‘turn this country around’. She said: ‘This is my first women’s march and I’m so happy to be on this team. Together, we can save the soul of this nation. ‘Together as women, trans women and cis women, we have the power to influence our communities, our families, our friends and colleagues, and turn this country around!’ Oscar-winning actress Mira, who previously accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct against her, praised women for choosing to come forward about sexual abuse. ‘Predators who previously enjoyed immunity and the ability to hurt and destroy all people’s opportunities to work in safe and fair environments are historically being brought to justice,’ she said. ‘Because of the bravery of hundreds of women, men and children who told the truth, the Harvey Weinsteins, Jeffery Epsteins, Bill Cosbys and R Kellys are finally realising that we as a society have stopped tolerating their predation, no matter their popularity.’ This is Caitlyn’s first women’s march (Picture: MEGA) Mina Sorvino praised women for choosing to come forward about sexual abuse (Picture: MEGA) Fellow Oscar winner Marlee Matlin also spoke out against the policies of President Donald Trump. ‘Are you ready for four more years of racism and bigotry? No!’ she told the audience through sign language, while an interpreter translated what she was saying. ‘Are you ready for four more years of environmental destruction and deregulation? No! Are you ready for four more years of children in cages? No!’ Bella Thorne also gave a speech (Picture: MEGA) Amber Heard was also at the march.
