Virginia Giuffre, 35, claimed she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew by Epstein and Maxwell – who is accused of helping to traffic the underage girls he abused. Epstein and Maxwell were friends of the Duke of York, with new pictures emerging during the BBC Panorama investigation broadcast last night that showed them together at Ascot in 2000. The couple were invited into the Royal box as guests of the prince. Several of the women abused by Epstein have accused Maxwell of being the person responsible for ‘recruiting’ girls for him. She says she was offered the chance to train as a masseuse, but alleges that the couple abused her from their very first encounter. Later on, while being trafficked by the convicted sex offender, Mrs Giuffre claimed Maxwell told her she ‘had to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey’ after meeting the prince in London. Maxwell is now subject to an FBI probe, but her current whereabouts are not known. She has said she vehemently denies all the allegations against her. But days after Epstein, 66, was found dead in his prison cell in August, photos were published by the New York Post which showed Maxwell sat on a table outside In-N-Out burger in Los Angeles, California. The newspaper initially reported that a passer-by had recognised her and taken her photo, but later amended its copy to say Maxwell was ‘surprised to have been found’. Later that month, the Daily Mail claimed the picture was staged by her close friend and attorney, Leah Saffian. In the picture, Maxwell is seen looking at the camera with a tray of food and two drinks. A dog, which is understood to be Ms Saffian’s dog Dexter, is at her feet. Further allegations emerged that a second picture at the fast food chain had been doctored. The Mail on Sunday reported one of America’s biggest outdoor advertising companies claimed a bus stop advert for the film ‘Good Boys’ which appears behind Maxwell’s head had been photoshopped in to make the photo appear more recent than it was. Outfront Media spokeswoman Carly Zipp said the bus stop advert had actually been for the Providence St Joseph’s Medical Centre at the time the photo was allegedly taken. Ms Zipp said: ‘We do not have any records of this [‘Good Boys’ poster] being posted there.’ Ghislaine Maxwell in September 2013 in New York City (Picture: Getty) Meeting with Prince Andrew The Telegraph claims Prince Andrew secretly met with Ms Maxwell in London two weeks after US prosecutors announced they wanted to reopen their investigation into Epstein. It was during her last trip to the UK at the beginning of June. The newspaper claims the meeting took place on or about June 5, the day before Ms Maxwell took part in a four-day charity motoring rally from London to Monte Carlo. Prince Andrew denied that the meeting had taken place after Epstein’s arrest and told BBC Newsnight that he and Maxwell hadn’t discussed Epstein at all. The duke’s confirmation of their meeting makes Maxwell’s trip to London her last known whereabouts. However it is not known if she is still living in the £2.3 million mansion in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, where neighbours say she had previously lived. Last month, US Attorney General William Barr said: ‘Let me assure you that this case will continue on against anyone who was complicit with Epstein. ‘Any co-conspirators should not rest easy.
