Donald Trump’s ‘war room’ compared him to Thanos from the Avengers (Picture: AP / Disney) Marvel writer Jim Starlin has responded to Donald Trump’s ‘war room’ using a scene from Avengers: Endgame in a campaign ad against his impeachment. And he is absolutely not happy. The clip – shared on the official Trump War Room Twitter account – showed the President superimposed onto Thanos’ body at the very moment the villain says, ‘I am inevitable’ and snapping his fingers. All of a sudden, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and a team of Democrats are wiped out, with the tweet reading: ‘House Democrats can push their sham impeachment all they want. ‘President Trump’s re-election is inevitable.’ Understandably, the Marvel gang aren’t best pleased about the whole thing. These are sad and strange times we are going through.’ He added to Hollywood Reporter: ‘Fortunately all things, even national nightmares, eventually come to an end.’ However, those part of Trump’s ‘war room’ might need to do a little more research into the scene in question, because just after that moment, Thanos actually loses his battle as Iron Man gets the Infinity Stones and uses them to kill him. Iron Man rose up to defeat Thanos (Picture: Rex) And fans rushed to let them know about the error. Flocking to the comments, one wrote: ‘Y’all realise that Thanos loses? He wipes out half the universe’s population before the Avengers can defeat him and reverse the snap, and you think that he’s the good guy? Good grief.’ ‘You just cast trump as a mass-murdering bad guy..,’ another explained. ‘I mean you are right but I didn’t expect it of you. While a Twitter user added: ‘You’ve made Trump a supervillain and depicted him in the scene where his plan to kill everyone in the universe falls apart due to his arrogance and incompetence.’ Metro.co.uk has contacted Marvel for a comment.
