Now We know What a Real Estate Developer Presidency Looks LikeThis Weak in Politics, Vol. 192 July 25, 2019 This piece will be a slight departure for TWITPOL. Normally we cover very traditional presidential stories (racism, xenophobia, sexual assault allegations, tweet tantrums with celebrities and the such). But there are two sides to every story. We have decided this week not to focus on the dark, unseemly, spiteful side of the presidency and will instead focus on the dark, unseemly, spiteful domestic policies being thrust upon us like a tiny hand to a p***y with neither a warning or even the courtesy of a tic tac. With that in mind, here we go. Oh, if you are looking for some Mueller testimony news, we covered that separately in an issue we titled: You can and should find it here. Because every day since November 8, 2016 has been a category 5 shitstorm, it is often to difficult to keep up with the non-headline-grabbing destruction being wrought daily by team Trump. But believe us, it is being wrought. Domestically, the nation is being led by a dishonest, shady, spiteful, greedy, selfish, crooked real estate developer. What’s worse is — the president is allowing him to do it. That’s right. We are the Land of Oz, and the lizard behind the curtain is none other than the Mayor of Munchkinland, Mick “Mick” Mulvaney, a dishonest, shady, spiteful, greedy, selfish, crooked real estate developer. (Strong letter to follow.) It really was no miracle, what happened in the White House. The wind began to switch, the house to pitch, and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch. Mulvaney is no slouch — he is widely viewed as one of the smartest people in all of South Carolina. In fact, in a recent survey, he trailed only Trey Gowdy and Miss Teen South Carolina, 2007 for that very title. While previous Chiefs of Staff, be they literal or figurative, have lacked either a heart, a brain, or courage, Mulvaney merely lacks a soul. It is frightening to think any of these people would have their fingers anywhere near the codes for a nuclear baum, to be frank. So how did a crooked developer become the most powerful man in the land? Well, it was a series of unfortunate events. The president famously offered the real presidency to the late John Kasich, promising he could be in charge of domestic and foreign policy, freeing Trump up to just be famous and racist but with a larger platform. Kasich declined the job, as did anyone with a brain — enabling Mike Pence (sp?)to play the straight man, literally and figuratively, and become the VP. And with most of Trump’s cabinet and key advisors being in prison or fired, the current cabinet is chock full of “acting” members. This created a small void — and nothing says small void like Mick “Mick” Mulvaney. In fairness, were it not for Mick “Mick” Mulvaney, and to a lesser extent, Donald “Mick” Trump, real estate developers would be largely unrepresented, as only 5% of the Senate and 12% of the House are in that field, while the rest have left crime altogether for the most part. Real estate developers at the federal level really only want 3 things: tax cuts for the wealthy, fewer regulations for the wealthy, and tax cuts for the wealthy. With Trump constantly busy being sued or doing racism, real estate developers needed Mick, or “Mick” has he likes to be called, to do their bidding. So while the bulk of the free world is distracted by little things like children being caged, climate change ravaging cities, coastlands, and farms, North Korea upping their missile game, Russia, China, and other countries perfecting their meddling operations, and Iran enriching its uranium, “Mick” is free to destroy thinks like the tax code, the social safety net, the budget, and the entire economy. But on the bright side, the effective tax rates for real estate developers and their fellow 1%ers are way down! America. Great. Again! We actually should give credit where credit is due. Stable democracies thrive on continuity and institutional knowledge. Mulvaney brings a level of expertise to the Trump administration that is unparalleled. He is fluent in: misleading congress, setting up shadow LLCs, hiding losses, evading creditors, and ducking responsibility. All traits Trump will need if his government is to continue. On the subject of shady characters and governments continuing, we now head across the pond for other news. Just when the United States was really beginning to open a wide lead in the race to be the dumbest place on earth, Great Britain said “Ello, guv’nor, hold my tea and crumpets.” Prime Minister Boris “Howard” Johnson talks with “President” Donald Trump as Mick “Mick” Mulvaney looks up and on That’s because deceased former Toronto Mayor Rob Ford has been elected Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, basically on a platform of un-uniting the United Kingdom. https://ift.tt/2OleGMz And that’s the way the weak spent the week in a nation where a greedy leprechaun is running the show, while on the world stage, there is a wicked wind blowing, and these guys are in charge. https://ift.tt/2Y88Cvm Sleep well, America.
