Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have apparently enlisted Donald Trump’s help to free A$AP Rocky (Picture: Getty) Kim Kardashian has claimed Donald Trump is helping the campaign to free A$AP Rocky from prison in Sweden. The rapper was arrested in Stockholm on 3 July on suspicion of assault after an altercation between his entourage and another man. A$AP has allegedly been living in ‘inhumane conditions’ in jail, prompting a slew of politicians, rappers and celebrities to protest his release. Kanye apparently encouraged Kim to reach out to the President’s son-in-law, senior adviser Jared Kushner, for help. Kim, who is training to be a lawyer, already has a relationship with Kushner due to her previous work on criminal justice reform. (Picture: Twitter) A$AP was arrested in Stockholm on July 3 for his alleged involvement in a street fight (Picture: Getty) Kushner then allegedly brought A$AP’s situation to Trump’s attention, claims People. ‘[The situation] was something we had sort of peripherally seen, but she really brought it to the forefront,’ a source told the publication. The insider added that Trump agreed it was ‘something just needed to be checked to make sure things were appropriate.’ Since Kim’s intervention, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has reportedly been ‘working tirelessly to make sure that this case is resolved in the most appropriate and fair way for an American citizen.’ Kim has worked with Trump on criminal justice reform in the past (Picture: Twitter) Kimmy K appeared to confirm the claims when she tweeted: ‘Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @SecPompeo, Jared Kushner and everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends. ‘Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated.’ Metro.co.uk has contacted the White House press office for comment.
