Hi, Pentagon! Stop Whatever You’re Doing BecauseWe Need to Throw a Military Parade for a Madman!I’m sure you’re not too busy… Hello, Pentagon! Remember when you folks spent two or three hundred years protecting us from crazy, evil, fascist, dictators? Well, FUN story,… guess what! We need you to stop whatever you’re up to, just drop everything, because a certain maniac needs a military parade. An expensive one with tanks, and jets! This is actually happening. In America!… Isn’t that something? Oh, we tried to dissuade him. All of us. Over and over. We patiently explained to Mr. Trump why there’s no upside to this, and how it makes him look completely insane and idiotic. We even acted it out for him with puppets! We built a small stage, drafted a script, and had the lead puppet, Mr. Fussy-Pants, learn all the many reasons why a military parade is a bad idea. Mr. Trump’s response was “I WANT ONE! I WANT ONE NOW!” (picture Veruca Salt from “Willie Wonka” but old, gassy, stupid, and disgusting… A bad egg). Also, tragically, we used up our entire puppet budget, and thus we won’t be able to convey to him why allowing North Korea to have nuclear weapons is a bad idea! So, let’s get ready to use our brave and heroic pilots and needlessly endanger them by forcing them to perform fancy aerial maneuvers for Mr. Trump’s amusement. We’ll also need to mess up some amazingly expensive tanks as they tear up and destroy expensive roads and streets. PRICE IS NO OBJECT. We’re still trying to dissuade him from wearing a military uniform, as we fear that will be the tipping point where GOD just intervenes and smites us all. I have a feeling we’ve been drifting in that direction.
