People’s lives or deaths don’t matter to him. Just ask Puerto Rico. He’s called real-life, actual, Nazis “very fine people” when one of them brutally murdered a young woman as we all watched in horror. He’s separated small children from their mothers, keeping them in cages where some of them die, five so far. Some are sexually assaulted, and thousands are misplaced and lost. Children. Little, actual, human, kids. With names and everything. Whatever side of the political spectrum you’re on, somewhere in your heart you must know he’s a vulture painfully stripping scraps of flesh from the poor and middle class to be sautéed for consumption to the Uber-rich. You might support him now, but once it’s too late and his actions have hurt you personally… perhaps irrevocably… you can truly never say you were never warned. Oh, Trump has done so much in such as short time as a place-holder-president. He showed Saudi Arabia that they can murder reporters as they see fit as long as Saudi money flows to his inner circle. He showed all US intelligence agencies that Putin’s narrative is all that matters and should be dutifully adhered to. He did help Brazil greatly by making absolutely sure that China buys agriculture from them instead of us. Hundreds of billions of dollars diverted from US farmers as well as tariffs that will raise living costs for each and every person in America, not paid by China, but completely out of our own pockets. And now, he’s imploring his masochistic, submissive, followers to boycott AT&T due to the company owning a news network that accurately reports on his actions. He previously called to boycott Amazon for owning the Washington Post. The newspaper that took down Nixon. In Trump’s view, only Fox News and Sinclair Broadcast Group should be allowed to exist, because he has close personal relationships with their owners and on-air… personalities. He has publicly threatened Jeff Bezos with taxes and increased postal shipping for Amazon, unless the Washington Post, a historical bastion of journalism, change its narrative to match Trump’s own. Trump, and his pet monsters in “the Justice Department” recently attempted retribution against CNN by blocking an AT&T/Time Warner merger. When a legitimate federal judge threw the case out, the DOJ appealed the decision which was then upheld by another responsible, adult, judge. Trump is using his out of control powers to dictate that American News organizations only say NICE things about him. That they can’t be allowed to criticize his actions, no matter how overtly corrupt or profoundly destructive. North Korea. Nazi Germany. Russia. All of them now have something in common with the former United States. Control of a nation’s narrative by one individual. (“Individual One”). The free press exists to protect us from those who would do us great harm. If a large corporation poisons the river near your house causing all the children in the neighborhood to get cancer, the press reports on it. When a Senator you helped elect makes a back-room deal that will enrich himself and cause his own constituents great harm, the press reports on it. Living in a state of blissful ignorance, and allowing yourself to only hear what you want to hear… comes with a price of great peril. It sacrifices your best interests. It sacrifices your safety and well being. It sacrifices freedom and justice. And it sacrifices America. Written by Steven W.
