Even after a 15-foot long whale washed up onshore in the Philippines on Saturday with 88 pounds of plastic trash in its stomach. The man who performed the mammal postmortem called it “the worst collection of plastic inside an animal I’ve ever seen.” Shown this photo, Mr. Trump exclaimed, “Yuck, that’s why I never eat whale!” (Credit: www.koin.com) But instead of demanding tougher standards on the dumping of plastics, Mr. Trump said the 1,100 pound whale alone was to blame for its death. “This whale should never have been eating plastic in the first place, that’s stupid. It should have changed its diet.” When the president was told that the dead Cuvier whale choked on hundreds of plastic bags from local grocery chains, the president replied, “Well, there you go, it proves that the whale was out shopping and obviously buying the wrong kind of foods, cheap Filipino food probably. What we need is more education on proper eating and stuff like that, not restrictions on putting plastics into the ocean.” The president added, “These liberal marine people make it sound like the ocean is one big tsunami of Evian bottles. That’s total fake news.
