(Credit: www.pbs.org) Donald Trump arrived in Hanoi on Tuesday for his second summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un, but all attention was on a noticeable limp from the president as he disembarked from Air Force One and later walked around the Vietnamese capital. On his good days in the 1960s, Donald Trump was able to play both basketball and baseball between nasty bouts of bone spurs. (Credit: www.pinterest.ch) Asked about the cause of his faltering step, the president told reporters, “Just having a flare up of my very serious bone spur condition, but I can handle it. I’ve been living with excruciating pain since the 1960s, when this medical disorder was first diagnosed, so there was absolutely no way I could serve in the military. But, otherwise, your president is feeling strong.” Mr. Trump received several medical deferments for bone spurs that he prevented him from active military duty during the Vietnam War. Curiously, just a year earlier, he lead his military academy basketball team to a championship. And today he plays golf almost every day, unimpeded by his bone spurs. Critics are calling Trump’s bone spur flare up a “temporary condition” that will disappear when he leaves Vietnam. I don’t wish this pain on my worst enemy, except maybe Hillary.” Critics of the president have suggested that this onset of his bone spur condition is conveniently timed to coincide with his visit to Vietnam, the country where 58,000 of his peers died fifty years ago while he chased skirts in Queens, NY. A White House spokesman called that accusation meritless. “Everyone knows that Donald Trump suffers from severe bone spurs. Sean Hannity even did a mini-series on the president’s valiant struggle with the condition.
