The call has gone out across the nation for “Any Functioning Adult” to step into the race on the GOP side, with Donald Trump certain to be driven from office and so many imbeciles and sycophants in the party threatening to launch their own candidacy in his place — Romney (again!), Flake (true to his name), and Corker (cork it, Bobby). Many American voters are feeling suicidally depressed about the potential presidential field in the upcoming election. (Credit: redbubble.com) On the Democratic side, bumper stickers are appearing that read “Any Adult Under 70,” after a number of blue septuagenarians — Biden, Bernie, Bloomberg, Brown — have been dusting off their stump speeches and boring us with the same weak, worn out, pseudo-liberal messages. Still another group of disgruntled voters is advocating for “Anyone Who Has Read The U.S. Constitution,” in the hopes of attracting someone with a rudimentary understanding of our nation’s most basic democratic principles. Long-shot ticket but still interesting. (Credit: picclick.com) And an activist faction out of the American socialist movement says they’re ready to campaign for “Any Adult Not Aligned With A Foreign Dictator” in the wake of revelations that our current president worked for Russia and has an eagerness to reshape the country’s political system as an authoritarian regime. But whatever happens in 2020, few Americans are expecting a Lincoln, Roosevelt (choose either one), Eisenhower, or Kennedy to step into the race. God save America. **** Thanks for your claps.
