The Fox & Friends team called the error in their reporting “unfortunate.” (Credit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oksHVk7wEDg) The graphic image showed the dates “1933–2019” under a photo of the 85-year-old judge, who recently underwent lung surgery but did not die on the operating table or during her recovery at home in the weeks following. Surprised by the criticism, lawyers for Fox News immediately issued a statement that read, in part, “While we acknowledge that Ruth Bader Ginsburg is not dead, and that it was premature to declare this live on the air, a network can hope, can’t it?” RBG says that while she has been feeling cold lately, it’s probably the winter and not because she’s dead. That vacancy could theoretically be filled by another white, middle-aged, heavy drinking fratboy in the mold of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, an appointment that would please conservatives.
