As the White House had hoped, the Pence hologram performed mostly as expected, maintaining a silent, stationary image throughout the meeting and never belying its true nature as a cluster of harmless, projected light beams made to look like the vice-president. (Credit: https://ift.tt/1LG6QUD) “We’d hoped to get him to move a little bit more, nodding his head and maybe uttering some affirmatives as the president blustered on, but overall we’re pretty happy with the results,” said Noah Klingmen, the new director of holographic imagery and robotics at the White House. The hologram of Mike Pence is expected to be the first of many introduced by the White House as the president becomes increasingly paranoid regarding other aides and appointees in his inner circle. He prefers to have harmless holograms of those people present at meetings, rather than the actual people themselves. “We should be able to adapt the same programming parameters used to create Pence to project holograms of other administration officials that the president would like to have ‘neutralized,’” added Klingmen. “Pence was easy, because he’s practically an automaton to begin with. The harder ones will be people like Kellyanne Conway who are more animated and expressive when they talk.
