(Credit: businessinsider.com) According to sources inside the White House, the president contacted Fox co-chairman Lachlan Murdoch on Saturday and asked him if he could recommend anyone at the network “who would be a good chief of staff, somebody who’s really telegenic.” Back in July, Mr. Trump hired former Fox News executive Bill Shine to be his director of White House communications. America’s next UN Ambassador has a made-for-TV smile, which is qualification enough for the president. Ms. Nauert was most recently the state department spokeswoman and has zero experience in foreign affairs, but plenty of experience as a Fox presenter. Bill O’Reilly, the widely-disliked former Fox host and a close friend of the president’s, is also said to be the front runner for Mr. Kelly’s job. Or if Jim Mattis resigns soon, as expected, to take over as Secretary of Defense. Mr. O’Reilly has never held a government position or served in the military, but is regarded as an obnoxious megalomaniac and sexual predator, qualities that the president admires.
