The Trump reality TV show, which has aired on virtually every television station in the country for the past two years, initially enjoyed excellent audience numbers, particularly among uneducated whites in rural areas and business executives in urban markets. But recent indications are that all demographic segments are losing interest in the show, and particularly in its star, the made-for-TV personality, Donald Trump. Ewing on the former smash hit Dallas, the evening soap opera,” said Michael Shamlin, a reality TV executive from the Fox network, “but efforts to shore up the show’s main star and political story line have failed and viewers are turning away in record numbers. There’s just no way to save the failing series now.” Mr. Shamlin added that secondary players, like Ivanka Trump, first lady Melania, and occasional comedy cameos by lawyer Rudy Giuliani, have become so unpopular that anytime they appear in a scene viewers snap off their television sets within minutes.
