Mr Zinke is currently facing investigations into his travel, political activities and other potential conflicts of interests. Trump made the revelation on Twitter, saying that the Zinke will be leaving after having ‘served for a period of almost two years’. Zinke played a leading part in the President’s efforts to roll back environmental regulations and promote domestic energy development.
