Michelle Obama’s book tour is sensational. Not only is everyone getting to really hear Mrs Obama’s voice, but the absolute sass. This week, Michelle joined Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, and just as he was about to ask what her final thought was on the day of Trump’s inauguration – we weren’t ready. ‘Bye, Felicia!’ she blurted out, while looking at a picture from the day as they boarded Air Force One. For those of you who don’t know, it’s from black cult classic Friday – look it up. During her animated chat with Fallon, Michelle explained how she took her husband – Barack – to marriage counselling only to realise she also needed ‘fixing’. ‘Marriage counselling was a turning point for me, and understanding that it wasn’t up to my husband to make me happy, and I had to realise that I had to fill myself up, that I had to put myself higher on my priority list,’ Michelle said. The Becoming author explained that her kids – Malia and Sasha – wanted a last sleepover at the White House before they left with their friends. ‘I was like “Are you guys kidding me? We’re leaving!” You’ve gotta take all your stuff, the blankets, the bears…they’re all crying and I’m like “get out! We’ve gotta go!”’ as motioned a kicking action. Yes, Michelle Obama kicks butt. She then added: ‘And then there was the Tiffany box…’ Michelle left it hanging there, referring to the gift that Melania, 48, awkwardly handed to her as a gift.
