But for the G20’s 10th birthday summit, the mood around the table has changed. Some of the biggest countries including the US, China, Brazil, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are run by populist autocrats and authoritarians. Joining Anushka Asthana is the Guardian’s world affairs editor, Julian Borger, who is in Buenos Aires for the summit.
