Donald Trump has attended a First World War memorial service in the rain – despite yesterday cancelling a cemetery visit because of the wet weather. The US President joined French President Emmanuel Macron at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier by the Arc de Triomphe, in Paris, to mark 100 years since the end of the war. He was also accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump and more than 66 other world leaders who attended the service to pay their respects. Mr Trump arrived separately in his own vehicle and was subjected to a female protester running out towards the procession of cars. Mr Macron has previously made much of the fact he is the one European leader to have a good relationship with the US leader. After the service today, the world leaders will attend a lunch hosted by the French President.
