In fact, the popular singer has no intention of running for office, but she did publicly endorse the Democratic candidate for Senate in her home state, Phil Bredesen. The clarification did not stop Mr. Trump from continuing to slam the 28-year-old, saying she should “stick with singing and not try to get involved with something she knows nothing about.
