Truth In SatireStill angry after Def. Sec. Mattis compared his intellect to a “fifth or sixth grader,” president dug out old records for comparisonPresident Trump’s 5th grade report card shows no obvious signs of his eventual imbecility. (Credit: freeart.com) President Donald Trump produced his fifth grade report card on Sunday proving, what he called, “that I am as smart as any 10-year-old and probably a lot smarter.” The president insists he’s “genius smart.” (Credit: pt.aliexpress.com) The release of the 1956 document from his Queens, NY grammar school comes just days after the publication of Bob Woodward’s book “Fear,” in which the author quotes Secretary of Defense James Mattis as saying after an Oval Office meeting, “the president acted like — and had the understanding of — a ‘fifth or sixth grader.’” The vintage blue report card, which appears to be authentic, showed that Donald Trump was strong in “Writing,” but weaker in subjects like “Arithmetic” and “Grammar.” He appeared to have no grade for “History,” which is consistent with his seeming utter lack of knowledge about geopolitics and world affairs. Most shocking perhaps was his “B+” average grade in “Reading,” which is clear evidence that the president can read, or at least was able to read when he was 10-years-old. Donald Trump (far left) in a family photo during the years when he could apparently read, as is evidenced from his 5th grade report card. (Credit: fullredneck.com) It is not clear why the president or the White House believed that releasing a six decades old document detailing a young Donald Trump’s grammar school performance would reassure the nation or dispel the notion that his intellect has deteriorated. But Kellyanne Conway, an aide to Mr. Trump, said that the president is “especially proud of his B+ grade in ‘Spelling,’ which he worked up from a C in the first semester and for which he received his first motorized go-cart from his father as a reward. The president is really nostalgic for 1956 because he frequently reminds those of us on his staff that America was really great back then…and Queens was also really white.” No word yet if Mr. Trump plans to release report cards from his other years in elementary school. **** For my original Trump-themed book of satire, visit allanishac.com.
