Tom Arnold says Mark Burnett is ‘protecting’ Donald Trump by withholding tapes from The Apprentice (Picture: Getty) Tom Arnold has hit the headlines again for his ongoing beef with The Apprentice producer Mark Burnett, with the two reportedly clashing at last night’s Evening Before Emmy party. The pre-Emmys fundraiser was the location for this latest episode in the tension between the pair, which has been lingering on for months over Arnold’s insistence that Burnett release outtakes from President Donald Trump’s time on The Apprentice. Arnold, who was a contestant on the Celebrity Apprentice, claims that the outtakes feature Trump using racial slurs and offensive comments on the set of the reality show. He is pursuing his claims in the upcoming Viceland show The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, which premieres in the US tomorrow. A number of claims against Trump have been made by Arnold (Picture: Picture Perfect/REX/Shutterstock) Various reports have claimed that last night’s tussle between Arnold and Burnett started as both men arrived at the party at the same time. A source close to the situation said it involved ‘shoving’, but it is unclear who made the first move and triggered the incident. Security quickly stepped in to defuse the scuffle, and both men were granted entry into the party after settling down. Arnold took to Twitter after the incident, claiming that Burnett ‘went apeshit’ and tried to ‘choke’ him. I’m waiting for LAPD — Tom Arnold (@TomArnold) September 17, 2018 But Burnett’s wife, Roma Downey, tweeted a totally different perspective of the scuffle – claiming that Arnold had ‘ambushed’ her husband and gave her a bruised hand during the ensuing commotion. ‘Is your TV show worth it, Tom?’ she asked. ‘Please stop.’ Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event. The actor also said that documentary maker Bryan Fogel witnessed the scuffle and ‘has tape’ of what went down.
