Truth In Satire The leafy stalk becomes 53rd vegetable spurned by president in favor of Big Macs, fried chicken, chips, and 64 oz. Cokes, all part of his unsustainable diet The American president favors food with zero nutritional value. (Credit: www.dnaindia.com) In an attempt to get President Donald Trump to eat healthier foods, the White House kitchen frequently tries to introduce vegetables into his diet. On Sunday, rhubarb became the 53rd vegetable spurned by the president, as he failed to eat it or even look at it on his plate. In fact, he pushed the dish aside and demanded two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches with a chocolate malted. Donald Trump never met an ice cream pop he didn’t like. (Credit: chicagotribune.com) “We try, we really do,” said Omar Krapinsky, the senior White House chef. “Once some spinach almost touched the president’s lips but he recognized it just as his forked reached his mouth and he flung it across the dining room.” Mr. Krapinsky said that he hoped to have more luck with rhubarb because it was red instead of green, “but the Mr. Trump quickly realized it wasn’t one of his favorites foods, red licorice, and cast it aside. At least it lasted longer on his plate than kale. He actually tossed that back in my face.” The president doesn’t eat vegetables but takes one Flintstones chewable vitamin daily. (Credit: https://ift.tt/2D7QmrU) Dr. Ivan Provender, one of the physicians on the president’s medical staff said that while Mr. Trump’s diet lacks some basics — like anything with nutritional value — he has been able to add a Flinstones chewable daily vitamin to the president’s morning breakfast. “He loves the grape flavor and he’ll occasionally eat a cherry one if he can wash it down quickly with a Diet Coke. We recently started giving him the Flinstones vitamins with choline added to boost his brain function and we’re crossing our fingers.” Chef Krapinsky said he will continue his efforts to sneak fruits and vegetables into the president’s diet but isn’t optimistic. “The president has a nose for healthy food and won’t let any of it near him. Once I added a half dozen baby Chantenay carrots to his morning bag of Cheetos, but he wasn’t fooled for a minute. Just tossed them aside whenever he found one and kept snacking on the orange cheese puffs. He has to be the worst eater I’ve ever met.” **** For my original Trump-themed book of satire, visit allanishac.com. Thanks for your claps. Always appreciated.
